Dog bone recipes And, these yummy homemade dog bone treats are super easy to make at home.

I created this recipe so that it would be simple to make in quantity for the bakery—but still have the advantage of real (as opposed to artificial) natural ingredients.

To simplify the process, I used dried parmesan cheese or cheddar cheese powder and bacon bits—so we didn’t have to spend hours grating cheeses and cooking bacon!

For the bacon bits, you can choose to use real bacon that you cook yourself, real bacon bits (that you buy for salads) or soy bacon bits. It just depends on what you prefer.

Whatever you decide to use, just use the same quantity as specified in the recipe. You don’t have to make an adjustment.

I've found the best prices for dog bone cookie cutters can be found at craft stores like Michaels or Ben Franklin.
