Anise Hypoallergenic Dog Treats
will Drive Your Dog Wild!

Anise is to dogs like catnip is to cats. Your dog will absolutely love these wheat free hypoallergenic dog treats.

I'll show you, step by step, how to make these easy dog treats!

Anise Hypoallergenic Dog Treats

You can use this wheat free dog treat recipe with confidence for your allergic dog because it is wheat free, corn free, gluten free and contains no milk.

This anise hypoallergenic dog treats recipe does contain healthy all natural ingredients that are good for your pet! A good source for fresh, quality herbs like Anise Seed is Kalyx. Their prices are the best that I've found, too.

Anise dog biscuits can be made in the bread maker, so they are not difficult to make!

Cut the treats into shapes with cookie cutters or just take a pizza cutter and quickly cut them into little squares—if you are pressed for time!

Don't have the time or inclination to bake at home? You can get healthy dog treats with natural ingredients (for dogs with allergies) at Just 4 Pooches and a great selection of natural dog treats, including hypoallergenic dog treats, at Only Natural.

hypoallergenic dog treat recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 ½ c barley flour
  • 1 c oat flour
  • ½ c rice flour
  • 2 T oat bran
  • 2T soy flour
  • 1 t cinnamon
  • 1 T sugar (I use brown or raw)
  • 2 T anise seeds
  • 1 ½ t baking powder

Directions

  • Place all ingredients in your bread maker or mix them with your mixer and a dough hook.

  • Divide the dough into several equal portions.

  • Flour a cutting board and roll each portion until you have a sheet of dough that is ¼” thick.

  • Cut your cookies in the shapes that you would like.

  • Place the dog treats on a greased cookie sheet.

  • Bake at 275 degrees for about an hour. If you make small cookies, check them often to make sure that they don’t get too dark.

  • Turn off your oven and let them dry overnight in the oven.
You don't have to have an allergic dog for your dog to enjoy these healthy, natural hypoallergenic dog treats. Why not make them for your dog--for a change?
