But the good news is that you can keep your dog safe by taking just a few simple steps. This article on dog heat stress will give you some ideas…

Coming Soon! New Dog Treat Ebook for Kids and Beginners - – It’s finally on the way! I’ve had so many requests for a dog treat recipe ebook that I decided it’s time…

The ebook, written for children (Long ago, I was an elementary teacher), is also appropriate for beginner cooks and cooks who want quick and easy dog treat recipes.

The ebook recipes are very simple and use everyday ingredients that most of you already have in your cupboard. And they’re all tested and tasted!

I'm working hard to complete the ebook, and I expect to have it ready for sale, by the end of September, if all goes well…

Salmonella and Dry Dog Food - The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) is now recommending that you keep dry dog food away from toddlers.

Dozens of children have become ill, due to salmonella, because of touching dry dog food (and probably putting their fingers in their mouths).

This dog food came from a plant in western Pennsylvania, whose name is not being disclosed.

To prevent a problem with your child, simply feed the dog where your toddler can’t touch the food.

Another Dog Food Recall Due to Salmonella – Merrick Pet Care from Amarillo, Texas has recalled its Beef Filet Squares for Dogs (best sell-by date of May 6, 2012). The treats are sold in 10 ounce plastic bags, and they are suspected of being contaminated with salmonella. No illnesses are being reported.

Tell us about your Dog - Everyone loves to read about other people's dogs (and see their pictures). Why not share your dog with us and brag about her, here... Your Dog's Story

Stay cool,
Linda and Skipper
