What is RSS?

RSS is short for “Really Simple Syndication”. This is a fancy way of saying that you can keep up with everything that happens on Best Dog Treat Recipes.com, with no effort on your part.

Here’s how it works…

Each time that I write a new page or update an older one, I release it through RSS. You get a notice that there’s something new to see.

It’s like getting a newspaper with headlines from everywhere—and you just choose only the articles that you want to see. A real time-saver!

The advantage? You get to see everything new the minute it’s released, and you won’t have to search for hours to find things! RSS keeps you up to date, with no effort on your part.

Your privacy? Intact. You don’t have to give your e-mail address when you subscribe to my Dog Blog, and there is NO spam! RSS is 100% spy and adware free.

Get Started with RSS

There are 2 steps to get started with RSS:

  1. Download the free RSS Reader first. (If you don’t want to download software, skip to the next section.)

This is special software that will “read” the RSS feeds, and you can use it to get info from all kinds of websites, from large news organizations to small specialty sites like mine.

Here’s where you download the Windows – RSS Reader - http://www.rssreader.com

  2. After you have done that, all you have to do is…

    • RIGHT click (command-click for Mac users) on any page of this site)
    • Then Select Copy Shortcut. (Copy Link to Clipboard for Mac users) and Paste that URL to into your RSS Reader.

That’s all there is to it! You’re subscribed now!

If You Don’t Want to Download Software…

You may prefer to view RSS feeds through their browsers. Yahoo and MSN have one-step directions.

Simply click on one of the buttons in the RSS box, and follow their directions. It’s easy!
